At this year's upcoming United Against Cancer golf tournament, we will be lucky enough to hear an update on cancer research from Huntsman Cancer Institute researcher Dr. Mona Foth.

Dr. Foth is a postdoctoral researcher in the McMahon lab, where they use mice, human tumors, and cancer cells in petri dishes to work towards an understanding of melanoma, lung, and thyroid cancers that are in the process of spreading. Although these cancer are very different from one another, they share some distinct similarities. Dr. Foth and the rest of the McMahon lab are trying to exploit these similarities to create new tools for diagnosis and treatment of the cancers.

We're looking forward to hearing from Dr. Foth, and can't wait to see everyone at the tournament!
