VLCM Foundation was recently recognized for our transparency with a 2018 Gold Seal on our GuideStar Nonprofit Profile!

GuideStar is the world's largest information source for non-profit organizations. They encourage charities to be transparent and open to the public with information about things like our financials, goals, leadership, capabilities, and strategies. Donors trying to find more information about charities can search GuideStar's database and better evaluate whether that charity is reputable before they invest their trust and donations.

More than 8 million visitors per year and a network of 200+ partners use GuideStar data to grow support for nonprofits. In order to get the 2018 Gold Seal, we shared important information with the public using our profile on www.guidestar.org. Now our community members and potential donors can find in-depth information about our goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress. We're not stopping here, though. We have more goals for transparency in the coming months. We want to put our board and other leadership online, so you know who's leading us. They're proud to put their names on this project. We'll make our financials available on our website so you can see for yourself that we're the real deal: 100% of all donations go to cancer research. You'll also see that none of our leadership takes a salary at all for their work with VLCM Foundation. We're dedicated to earning the trust and loyalty of our donors in this way.
