The Olympic Oval
The Utah Olympic Oval has been host to many world-class events ever since its maiden voyage as one of the main arenas for the 2002 winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Now, VLCM has used it on two occasions already this year to host presentations on world-class IT solutions.
The technologies discussed on this particular occasion were those associated with data storage and virtualization. HP’s Adam Sollis and Dan Dinning were present to answer questions, and VMware’s Brian Clark was there to do the same.
Josh Linton Presents
Both the topics of data storage and virtualization were addressed by Josh Linton, VCLM’s VP of technology. Josh spoke first about the expectation of immediacy in IT environments fueling the need for a strong virtualized infrastructure and how VMware’s hybrid-cloud offerings can help IT managers maintain efficiency and speed.
HP Storage was the last matter discussed—particularly the benefits and foresight that comes from dealing with HP’s 3PAR storage solutions. Josh gave emphasis to how a smaller business can know utilize 3PAR’s enterprise-class solution in an affordable package, such as the StoreServe 7400.
